Disney World is not offering franchises (YET), so with 5 years of franchise satisfaction research under our belt, we decided to take a look at where the most satisfied franchisees live and work in the United States:

Top 5 Major Metro areas (1 Million + Population)
     Charlotte, NC
     Austin, TX
     Louisville, KY
     Richmond, VA
     Kansas City, MO

Top 5 Large Market areas (250,000 to 1 Million Population)
     Wilmington, NC
     Colorado Springs, CO
     Boise, ID
     Asheville, NC
     Lincoln, NE

Top 5 Medium Market areas (100,000 to 250,000 Population)
     Myrtle Beach, SC
     Bend, OR
     Grand Junction, CO
     Cedar Rapids, IA
     Sioux Falls, SD

Top 5 Small Market areas (50,000 to 100,000 Population)
     Winchester, VA
     Traverse City, MI
     St. George, UT

Does this mean if you live there you should open a franchise? Heck yes! Does it mean if you are franchisor this is where you should open your next franchise? Absolutely...

OK, maybe you should do further research before jumping in feet first. But this is more than just fun facts from the FBR database. It would be interesting to look at the overall economy, unemployment rates, average incomes of these cities compared to rest of the country.
