Franchise Business Review Releases Annual Top Franchises Guide for 2009

by Franchise Business Review

KITTERY, ME: March 27, 2009 – Franchise Business Review, a national franchise market research firm, announced the winners of its 2009 Franchisee Satisfaction Awards early this month and has released their 2nd annual Top Franchises Guide for 2009. Despite the challenging economic environment that has affected nearly every business small and large, 115 elite franchise companies were identified and published in the guide as having very strong franchisee satisfaction.

This is the second consecutive year Franchise Business Review has published the Top Franchises Guide, highlighting each of the award winning franchises. The guide features investment information, the amount of domestic franchise units, and brief descriptions for each opportunity. The twenty page guide is categorized by service industry and features a question and answer interview with Cody Howard, CEO of Heaven’s Best Carpet Cleaning, winning their fourth consecutive award this year. The opening letter by Franchise Business Review’s President and CEO, Eric Stites discusses the elite 2009 list and the importance of identifying the very best franchise opportunities. The award-winning companies identified include Church’s Chicken, FastSigns, Heaven’s Best Carpet Cleaning, Home Instead Senior Care, Interstate All Battery Centers, Jenny Craig, Nathan’s Famous, Proforma, Sotheby’s Realty and Kampgrounds of America (KOA).

“The silver lining of this recession is that it also creates opportunities for entrepreneurial-minded people,” says Franchise Business Review President Eric Stites. “Despite all the doom and gloom economic news, the top franchise companies are still performing well. Our 2009 Top Franchises Guide features 115 franchise opportunities that have received outstanding owner satisfaction ratings by their franchisees – the real franchise experts.”

To be included in the Guide, Franchise Business Review surveys thousands of franchisees each year to measure satisfaction levels related to their franchise ownership experience. Survey questions cover everything from training and support, system quality issues, franchisor relationship, financial opportunity to overall satisfaction. Additionally, franchisees complete demographic and lifestyle questions to give a 360-degree view of their franchise ownership experience. Franchise Business Review releases the Top Franchises Guide to assist those interested in becoming entrepreneurs in the franchising arena by highlighting the very best opportunities based upon the results of their survey.

“Of all the accolades Miracle Method has received in its years of franchising, being ranked #5 by Franchise Business Review for Midsize Franchises is one of the best,” stated Chuck Pistor, President of Miracle Method Surface Restoration. “It validates our ongoing effort to provide the very best ongoing training, marketing, administrative and technical support to our franchisees. I think the FBR 50 is more significant than other rankings as it provides a real world look into how a franchise really performs for the owner after the purchase has been made. We'll just have to work harder to become #1."

Franchise Business Review publishes reports throughout the year on the top-rated companies and industry segments within the franchise marketplace. Many of the franchise companies that are researched use Franchise Business Review’s Franchisee Satisfaction Index (FSI)™ to benchmark their annual performance. Franchise Business Review consults with these franchise systems to assist them in improving their operational and franchisee performance by sharing industry best-practices.
