I'm a CFE because...

by Computer Explorers

A CFE is a Certified Franchise Executive. To become a CFE, candidates must participate in a career development program offered by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives. The program offers franchising professionals the opportunity to grow professionally. The program covers: diversity, marketing, management & operations, franchise relations, franchise law, accounting, HR and franchise recruitment. A minimum of 3500 credits is required to quality for the Certified Franchise Executive designation. Candidates must complete all requirements within three years of the date they enrolled. Graduation takes place at the International Franchise Association (IFA) Annual Conference.

The credits that are applied to certification are earned in three areas via attending seminars and on-line courses: Experience (500 credits maximum), Participation (500 credits maximum) and Education (2500). When a candidate enrolls in the program there is an opportunity to request credit for attendance to the IFA annual conference and for previous work experience.

Available to CFE candidates and the entire franchise industry is a series of monthly webinars: Wednesday Webinars hosted by industry professionals to help grow business. Candidates in the CFE program will receive credit for their attendance.
Becoming a CFE takes a great deal of dedication, time and energy and a strong belief in the franchising industry. Personally the flexibility of the program allowing me to work on-line and around my work schedule assisted me in completing the program in less than two years.

I am a CFE because I firmly believe in Continuing Education Programs. I have been involved in franchising since 1996 and plan to continue my career in the industry. I am committed to increasing my knowledge and skills necessary to be one of the best leaders in the franchise industry. I strongly encourage anyone in the franchise industry to consider the CFE program. You won’t meet a better group of dedicated individuals and instructors.

Lorri Wyndham, COMPUTER EXPLORERS Operations Manager said,

“I attended my first IFA Conference in February 2010. I was very impressed with the people of the organization and the support they show for each other. The opportunity to introduce myself to high level CEO’s was an experience I never thought I would have. I knew at that time that I wanted to become part of an organization with a priority set on the success of all of its members, which led me to enroll in the CFE program.”

I am confident that any CFE Alumni will share their experience with you. A link to a complete listing of alumni can be found here.
