Top Pizza Franchises for 2011

by Eric Stites, Franchise Business Review

964 Pizza Franchise Owners Can’t Be Wrong!

The sky may be falling for some major pizza brands, but current franchisee satisfaction research from FBR indicates that the pizza segment is performing better – and more profitably – than many other QSR segments. 8 of the 19 food franchise brands that received Franchise Business Review’s 2011 Franchisee Satisfaction Awards last month are pizza concepts – including Jet’s Pizza that took home the overall Best in Category award for the food franchise sector.

The full list of 2011 award-winning pizza franchises includes (in order of overall score) Jet's Pizza, Toppers Pizza, Marco's Pizza, Papa Murphy's, Straw Hat Pizza, Simple Simon's Pizza, Russo's New York Pizzeria, and LaRosa's Pizzeria. Bruegger’s, Charley’s Grilled Subs, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Jack in the Box and Zoup were among the winning non-pizza, QSR franchise brands. Additional details on all the award-winning franchises can be found at http://topfranchises.franchisebusinessreview.com.

Note: 964 represents the total number of franchisees from the 8 award-winning pizza franchises. Of the 964, 459 (48%) completed a satisfaction survey. Franchise Business Review measures satisfaction in over 30 key areas including training & support, leadership, innovation, brand competitiveness, financial opportunity and general owner satisfaction.
