Vero Beach Franchise Owners Recognized For Outstanding Contributions to Franchising

by Mr. Appliance

09.20.2010 – Trey Beatty, Matt Beatty and Chris Greer, owners of Mr. Appliance of Treasure Coast, traveled across the U.S. from Vero Beach, Fla. to Washington, D.C. where they were honored by the International Franchise Association (IFA) for the annual Franchisee of the Year Award.

“The IFA is proud to recognize the outstanding efforts of Trey, Matt and Chris with the Franchisee of the Year Award,” said IFA Chairman Ken Walker, chairman & CEO of Driven Brands. “The franchising community is an important component of the U.S. economy due to the hard work of these exemplary individuals who have helped bolster the growth of the industry.”

The IFA’s 11th Annual Public Affairs Conference recognized 30 franchise owners and operators for their outstanding performance and the contributions they have made to enhance the growth and development of franchising.

“I realized at the IFA conference that there are other franchisees with the same concerns as myself,” Greer said. “It gave me the opportunity to learn from other franchises and gain a greater sense of political awareness.”

The two-day event, which was supported by founding sponsor, ADP Small Business Services, featured more than 500 franchise industry leaders. These leaders met with more than 200 congressional offices about issues important to the future of franchising, such as healthcare reform and access to credit.

“The IFA conference couldn’t have come at a more important time for small businesses with so many important topics being debated and a crucial election period right around the corner,” said Michael Noe, Vice President of Operations for Mr. Appliance Corp. “For Chris and Trey, who are committed to excellence, to be able to network with other professionals, and get important face time with their local legislators, is good not only for their small business, but could potentially be helpful to all of our owners.”
