For anyone researching a franchise, Franchise Business Review knows how important it is to get feedback from current franchisees. To expedite this process, we conducted an independent survey of Handyman Matters franchisees on their satisfaction.

All active franchisees were invited to participate in the survey. 61 franchise owners elected to participate (approximately 75%). The survey was completed on February 2008.

Our goal is to change the face of this industry to a more positive, marketing safety and reliability as our #1 job. Model offers owner ability to create multiple back doors to generate multiple revenue streams of both commercial & residential from day 1 that are fully turn-key in our franchise system today.

We embrace community service and understand that our talents go a long way when combined with other businesses and citizens to complete projects. Each quarter our corporate staff engages with a non-profit to model the community leadership way. From Habitat for Humanity to local food bank service, Handyman Matters continues to live their values of service and family.

As a professional handyman business, Handyman Matters provides tremendous diversification in the services we offer our customers.

The remodeling contractor universe is no longer the only way to accomplish home repairs, maintenance, and replacements. Handyman Matters offers a great variety of products and services. Because of this variety, the franchisee can build their business on working repeatedly with a satisfied customer and their referrals.

Our business model is unlike a contracting business. Handyman Matters is a management, marketing, and scheduling model– no salespeople or estimators are necessary. We use cash flow accounting because payments are made at the time of service by check, cash or credit card.

Trust is always on the minds of our predominantly female customers. Our craftsmen have all successfully passed a rigorous background check before they are hired. Our ongoing training enhances their understanding and respect for a customer’s home. Our craftsmen are employees of Handyman Matters franchisees. We hold high expectations and demand a professional attitude that is developed by using the loyalty of employment rather than sub contracting piecework.

What sets Handyman Matters apart is our strong technical tools & support team. We have developed a proprietary web-based scheduling program that strives to be the gold standard for the industry. This support allows franchisees to document and control all the data necessary to efficiently run their business.
