Commonly asked questions and answers about this franchise opportunity.

Q: What is the cost of investment, and what is the expected return?

A: The estimated total investment range for our standard franchise is $150,614 to $289,080. (Snap-on does have financing available for qualified candidates) The estimated out of pocket expense for this program ranges from $38,788 to $80,071. Returns will vary depending on many factors that a Snap-on representative will be able to help with.

Q: What would be the difference between a successful franchisee and a failure?

A: Since we have a very large system and a fairly low turnover rate I will address what we see as success factors for a franchisee. We see some common traits in successful franchisees, not necessarily in order of importance they are:

  • High energy level
  • Sociability
  • Accommodating
  • A great attitude
  • Willingness to follow the Snap-on system

While these traits alone won’t guarantee success they are a good starting point to see if you are a good fit for this type of business. I would encourage anyone interested in any franchise business to engage in the discovery process, learn about the business and only purchase a franchise when you are convinced its right for you. As a part of our discovery process you will spend an entire day with at least two different existing franchisees, this gives you a really good picture of what it’s like to operate a Snap-on franchise.
